The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

Resigned from my job yesterday. Under duress though, it wasn't an entirely voluntary decision. That's a long story which I'm not going into here.



But now I find myself in a quandary. For the last 8 years I've worked in some capacity of organic optimisation (SEO), bringing in other skills here and there such as writing, design or analytics. It's the world I know.



But it's not the world I want to be in. I would be happy never working in SEO again, but I don't know what I do want to do. There's nothing I can say, confidently, that I'm GOOD at. Not to a career-level capacity. I've gotten through life being mediocre and the realisation is catching up with me.



I would love to begin an entirely new career but how to manage in the meantime, even if I could decide what to do? Which I can't; at this point I feel like anything I do will result in a failure. The depression I've had for the last 20 years is weighing heavier than ever, and I have a sinking suspicion that unless I focus on addressing that, it will always come back to haunt and sabotage me.



So I feel cursed to move from job to job, never having the time or resources to focus on getting myself better. Meanwhile the number of failed jobs on my CV pile up, decreasing my employability with every entry.



And the worst part about this is I know there's no escape.
